William James Myrick, 79, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born January 12, 1940, in Woodland, WA, a son of Perry and Ana Louise (Roush) Myrick. William was married to Barbara Joan Thompson and she preceded him death in September 6, 1976. He later married Naomi Joann Gruver and she preceded him in death on November 21, 2019.
William served in the United States Air Force and later retired from the United States Navy. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked for John Deere in Lee’s Summit, MO, as a mechanic. William enjoyed wood working and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include one son, Danny James Myrick (fiancé Mona Rhoden) of Sedalia, MO, one granddaughter, Ashley Hanna; three great-grandchildren, Dorian, Eyelee, and Michelle; three brothers, Charles Myrick, Perry G. Myrick and Chester Myrick; three sisters, Loretta Rogers, Lucy Daniels and Louise Akins.
In addition to both of his parents and his two wives he was preceded in death by one sister, Loreen Brown and one daughter, Debra LeeAnn Myrick.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church in Sedalia, MO.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery.
