Ursula Yolanda Anaya, 72, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at her home.
She was born July 13, 1952, in Mexico, daughter of Francisco Vasquez and Refugio (Arvizu).
Yolanda worked as a surgical technician. She was a jack-of-all-trades, someone who could and would do it all. She will be remembered as feisty and strong-willed, with a heart of gold. She was an animal lover and cared for many animals over the years. She was wise, crafty, enjoyed plants, and loved the beach. She was extremely proud of her five adult children and the work ethic she instilled in them. She was a true inspiration for her kids and grandkids.
Surviving are five children, Gilbert Anaya (Laura), of Independence, Fernanda Anaya, of Signal Hill, CA, Yolanda Anaya-Mates (Trevor), of Gilbert, AZ, Aldo Anaya (Jhoanna), of Shawnee, KS, and David Anaya (Autumn), of Clinton; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, David Vale.
The family will celebrate Yolanda’s life privately.
Memorials may be given to the Sedalia Animal Shelter.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.
